Union Pacific Railroad train makes emergency stop to avoid collision in Eugene

People trying to cross the railroad tracks at West Third Street between Lincoln and Van Buren streets in Eugene found a train blocking their path the morning of Nov. 6.

The train stopped to avoid a collision with a pedestrian and was unable to move for a time. This incident was first reported at 9:17 a.m., according to Pulsepoint. It began moving just after 10 a.m.
