Creswell’s Kuhnhausen Metal Concepts Wins National Award for Custom 1966 Corvette at SEMA Show

Kuhnhausen Metal Concepts has won the 2025 SEMA Best Engineered Vehicle of the Year Award for their custom 1966 Chevrolet Corvette, called ‘Serious66.’ The announcement was made at the SEMA Show, which ends today, November 7, 2025, in Las Vegas. The car was also named a Top 12 finalist in the 2025 SEMA Battle of the Builders, presented by Mothers Polish.

Kyle Kuhnhausen, owner of Kuhnhausen Metal Concepts in Creswell, Oregon, led the project. After receiving the award, Kuhnhausen thanked his family for their support. He credited his father for his help and noted the encouragement and patience of his wife and family.

The ‘Serious66’ Corvette features a GM LT4 supercharged engine with a dry-sump oil system. It uses a ZF8HP paddle-shifted 8-speed transmission with an electronic clutch pedal and a custom PWR North America cooling package. Other features include a Dakota Digital HDX instrument cluster, custom leather interior by BUX Built, and an Art Morrison GT Sport IRS chassis…
