EUGENE, Ore. – The stillness of this foggy morning won’t last much longer. Oregon’s calm stretch of dry fall weather is about to end as a new series of Pacific systems rolls into the Willamette Valley midweek, bringing widespread rain, gusty breezes, and the first solid sign that November’s storm track has locked in.
According to the National Weather Service in Portland, light rain could begin as early as Wednesday afternoon, intensifying by evening. The heaviest rain is expected late Wednesday night through Thursday, when a deep low-pressure system moves ashore.
