Quick response by Eugene firefighters saves apartment from blaze

EUGENE, Ore. – Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in West Eugene at the Woodland Creek Apartments on Friday morning.

According to Eugene Springfield Fire, the blaze started on the morning of Nov. 14 in a downstairs apartment of a two-story, four-unit building. Engine 10 from the Bailey Hill station arrived within three minutes and quickly contained the fire to its room of origin. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
