EUGENE, Ore. — Police arrested an armed man who barricaded himself in a backyard shed for several hours Monday after officers responded to reports of a disorderly person in the 4800 block of Royal Avenue, authorities said.
Eugene Police were called around 4:16 p.m., December 1, after a resident reported that a man, later identified as 38-year-old Cody Stogsdill, was repeatedly banging on a door and asking for a male occupant of the home, police said. A woman and her child inside the residence had locked themselves in a room.
Earlier in the day, Stogsdill had made several 911 calls claiming his family had been kidnapped, raped and murdered, and told dispatchers he had a knife and planned to “escalate things” to get a faster response, according to police…
