Springfield police to cover and remove ALPR cameras over concerns

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — The Springfield Police Department is set to cover and remove all Flock automatic license plate recognition cameras in the city.

According to the department, the decision follows concerns raised by the Eugene Police Department about security vulnerabilities and operational limitations in the Flock system.
