Pilot safely lands plane after extinguishing engine fire mid-flight

EUGENE, Ore. — A small airplane made a safe landing at the Eugene Airport after the pilot successfully extinguished an engine fire while in flight on Friday, Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) tells us.

Emergency responders were on standby as the plane approached the runway.
