55 Pounds of Meth, 10 Pounds of Fentanyl Seized in Multi-State Investigation

Clark County investigators, with FBI and OSP support, seized large quantities of meth and fentanyl during an I-5 stop tied to a long-term multi-state drug probe.

Clark County, WA. — A major multi-state narcotics investigation led by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) resulted in the seizure of more than 65 pounds of illegal drugs and the arrest of a federal trafficking suspect, authorities announced Wednesday.

On November 13, SIU deputies—working alongside the Vancouver FBI office and an Oregon State Police K9 team—conducted a drug interdiction traffic stop on Interstate 5 in Lane County, Oregon. The stop capped a long-term investigation spanning Washington, Oregon, and Mexico, which included multiple controlled buys and surveillance operations initiated after an SIU search warrant was executed in Clark County.

During the stop, investigators seized approximately 55 pounds of methamphetamine and 10 pounds of fentanyl powder. The combined estimated street value of the narcotics exceeds $225,000. Fentanyl powder in this quantity represents a potentially lethal dose for tens of thousands of people…
