Lane County Sheriff’s Office suspends contract with Flock Safety

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has announced the suspension of its contract with Flock Safety for automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) cameras, this decision comes as the Sheriff’s Office evaluates how best to utilize available resources to ensure public safety, given the lack of integration with other local networks.

According to LCSO, their contract with Flock Safety was initiated following similar efforts by the Eugene Police Department and Springfield Police Department to implement their ALPR systems.
