EUGENE, Ore. – A longtime staple coffee shop, Espresso Roma, located on East 13th Avenue near the University of Oregon, has been demolished.
The demolition took place on Dec. 11 to make way for a new apartment complex. Business records reveal that a Chicago-based developer is spearheading the project. This developer is also behind the Chapter at Eugene complex, situated just one block south of the former Espresso Roma location.
As construction progresses, parking and travel on the bustling stretch of East 13th Avenue between Alder and Kincaid Streets are limited or blocked, affecting local commuters…
