Man charged with damaging equipment at Shedd Institute

A 44-year-old man accused of damaging equipment at the Shedd Institute last week has been arrested, according to Eugene Police.

According to police, on the morning of Dec. 9 a man walked into the Shedd Institute to ask for food. He was given peanuts but did not leave when asked, instead wandering the building.

Police said when told to leave, the man threw peanuts, yelled and damaged sound equipment on the way out. Officers arrived after he left, but were able to identify a suspect based on an interaction earlier that day…
