EUGENE, Ore. – Donations to FOOD for Lane County have surged this year, surpassing 2024 collections despite the cancellation of the “Mail Carrier Food Drive” in Eugene and Springfield.
Officials report the community contributed nearly 7,000 pounds of food and over $51,000 in cash. This impressive total includes a $10,000 match from Market of Choice and $5,000 from Sabrina Ionescu’s Foundation, providing more than 108,000 meals.
