EUGENE, Ore. – A man is now facing a murder charge after a deadly attack in downtown Eugene earlier this month.
Joshua Margarito Saldivar’s charges escalated from first- and second-degree assault to second-degree murder following the death of the victim, Douglas Eugene Beinhauer, on Wednesday.
A search warrant affidavit revealed significant portions of the incident were captured on security footage from nearby businesses. The footage shows Saldivar and Beinhauer walking together on Oak Alley. Saldivar can be seen changing into a light-colored shirt over his black jacket before setting up cardboard for Beinhauer to sleep on at 9 p.m…
