LANE COUNTY, Ore. – The Lane County Diaper Bank is facing a critical financial challenge and needs to raise $20,000 to continue supporting local families in need. This urgent appeal comes as the community grapples with the growing crisis of “diaper need.”
Families are often caught in difficult decisions, forced to choose between purchasing diapers or paying essential bills. Without enough diapers, children are at risk of health issues, including diaper rash and infections. The Lane County Diaper Bank plays a vital role by distributing more than 24,000 diapers each month through partner agencies and direct distribution.
“The need for diaper assistance is rising at the same time the grant landscape is becoming much more competitive,” said Melody Pittman, board president of the Lane County Diaper Bank. “We rely mostly on grants and community support we get no government or state funding.”…
