What better way to ring in the New Year than with a delicious meal? Eugene is full of restaurants to dine at that will be open on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, and I have some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket. As the food, drinks and “things to do” reporter for The Register-Guard, I consider it something like my public duty to recommend the most amazing options for places to chow down.
And, in keeping with my tradition of writing up holiday hours (see my restaurants open on Christmas and Thanksgiving articles for previous examples), here I’ve compiled five places to dine on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day for my Register-Guard readers. Domek has recently teased a New Year’s Eve party on their social media and has fully fleshed out their plans via Facebook. The menu for Jamboree, a New Years Eve happening, includes broiled oysters, a whipped goat cheese tartine, curried squash croquettes, and more.
