EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police arrested six individuals for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) since the start of the new year, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said that, of these incidents, two involved crashes, highlighting ongoing concerns about impaired driving in the community. Early on Jan. 2, officers stopped 18-year-old Kaden Isaac Jones on Wagner Street after noticing his vehicle’s loud exhaust and high speed. Jones, who was driving with a suspended license, was cited for DUII, and his vehicle was towed.
On Jan. 1, a separate incident occurred on Glenwood Drive involving 29-year-old Teron Jordan Beck. After a verbal dispute at a Motel 6, Beck crashed his Jeep Cherokee into a tree. He was taken into custody and treated at a local hospital. Beck faces charges of DUII and reckless driving…
