Oregon – Mist clings to windshields this morning as light rain falls steadily across the southern Willamette Valley. Streetlights glow through pockets of fog, and the first hours of 2026 feel damp, gray, and slow-moving for Eugene-area drivers.
According to the National Weather Service office in Portland, rain will continue through much of New Year’s Day, with areas of fog reducing visibility early. Temperatures remain on the cool side, climbing only into the upper 40s, keeping roads wet and travel conditions subdued.
