JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – A single-vehicle crash in Josephine County left a driver injured and claimed the life of a passenger from Selma on Tuesday morning, according to the Oregon State Police.
OSP said they responded at 8:50 a.m. on Jan. 7 to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 199 near milepost 10 in Josephine County. State police officials determined that a northbound Toyota Tundra, driven by a 52-year-old Eugene man, reportedly swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway, before the driver lost control and rolled it multiple times along the highway’s shoulder. The Toyota came to rest on its roof, police said. OSP said a passenger, identified as 47-year-old Teddie Dianne Tibbets of Selma, was declared deceased at the scene while the driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital…
