A Selma woman was killed and a Eugene driver injured after a pickup swerved to avoid a deer and rolled on Highway 199 in Josephine County.
Josephine County, OR. — One person was killed and another injured Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 199 in Josephine County, according to Oregon State Police.
Troopers responded at approximately 8:50 a.m. on January 7 to the crash near milepost 10. The preliminary investigation found that a northbound Toyota Tundra, driven by Marisha Lynn Trainor, 52, of Eugene, reportedly swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway, lost control, and rolled multiple times along the highway shoulder before coming to rest on its roof.
