Eugene celebrates achievements at State of the City on Jan. 12

EUGENE, Ore. – The City of Eugene is set to host its annual State of the City event at the Hult Center’s Soreng Theater on Monday evening.

According to the City of Eugene, Mayor Kaarin Knudson will address the community at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 12, reflecting on the past year and looking ahead. The event will also feature Community Service Awards, a video of the year’s accomplishments, and the announcement of the Mayor’s Art Show winners.

Entertainment will include performances by Flamenco guitarist James Manuele, along with a banjo medley by Henry Strid and Joe Suskind. Media representatives will have a designated area on the theater’s second tier, with a media box available for audio. Approaching the stage is prohibited…
