Car goes airborne, man arrested for reckless driving

EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Police Department (EPD) says on January 11 at 5:38 a.m., officers were in the Cooler parking lot responding to a dispute when they saw a BMW sedan driving recklessly.

Police say that the car turned onto MLK Jr. Boulevard from Coburg Road at a high speed and became airborne as it went over the bike path overpass.

EPD says when the sedan landed, sparks flew, and it continued east on MLK. Police say several officers cleared from the dispute and quickly went to look for the vehicle…
