Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover on Highway 58 in Lane County

A Port Orford man was killed after his pickup rolled into a ditch on Highway 58 near Oakridge; Oregon State Police say the roadway remained open.

Lane County, OR. — A 64-year-old Port Orford man died Monday morning following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 58 in Lane County, according to Oregon State Police.

Troopers responded at approximately 8:57 a.m. on Jan. 12 to the eastbound lanes near milepost 40. A preliminary investigation indicates a Ford F-250 driven by Aaron Henry Longton lost control and rolled into a roadside ditch. Longton, the sole occupant, was ejected during the rollover.

He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased…
