Meet the bakers behind Eugene’s new porch bakery, Sunday Supper Co.

Sunday mornings are a bit chaotic at Ashley Gray’s house. Aside from getting her family roused and ready to go for the day, Gray is finishing packing up her baked goods in her car. As 9 a.m. ticks closer and closer, she realizes she might be her signature 5 minutes late to opening the porch bakery she runs with her friend Shelbie Litty. As Gray loads the last of her highly anticipated Cozy Crumb cinnamon rolls into her car for the drive over, she stifles a yawn. She’s been baking since 2 a.m.

“If people are getting here at 9 a.m. for my baked goods, I’m gonna give them ones that are freshly made,” Gray said. “I’m still shocked at the number of people that come, like I’m just some granddaughter that learned to bake, and now everyone wants some.”

Gray and Litty have been running their porch bakery together since September. Gray’s business, The Cozy Crumb, supplies sweet goodies for the project while Sunday Supper Co. works more in the savory sphere, though there is a lot of overlap between them. On a given day, customers can expect to find anything from organic dog treats to frosted sugar cookies to homemade sandwich bread at the stand…
