Eugene police defuse protest blocking federal cars downtown

EUGENE, Ore. – A protest at the Federal Building on East Seventh Avenue drew attention Tuesday afternoon when demonstrators blocked a gate, stopping federal vehicles from exiting the premises, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said that several adults and minors gathered at the gate around 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 20, reportedly ignoring orders from Federal Protective Services officers to move.
