Eugene allocates $1.2M to develop 27 affordable apartments on Coburg

The City of Eugene aims to turn 1091 Coburg Road into affordable housing.

The project by developer Cascade Housing Association to redevelop the lot into 3-story apartments will provide 27 units of affordable rental homes plus a manager unit and a common area. It will be named The Harlow.

At their Jan. 26 meeting, Eugene City Council voted to recommend the project for $1.2 million in federal HOME funding, Eugene’s entire allocation for the year, and to give the developer the city-owned property near Monroe Middle School for the development…
