HARRISBURG, Ore. – The Life Bible Church in Harrisburg is facing a growing crisis as erosion threatens its property along the Willamette River. The church’s lead pastor, Brad Neuschwander, has observed the erosion spreading from the north to the south end of their property, prompting urgent calls for community assistance.
“That’s when we began to see at the lowest water levels, the greatest erosion,” Neuschwander said, “because as that middle bank built up over the last two, three years, when the water level went down, it’s now forcing the river clear south of us over far enough that it’s eroding our bank.”
