SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A road rage incident on Monday ended with the arrest of a Springfield man, according to the Springfield Police Department.
SPD officials said that 21-year-old Joseph Alford allegedly threatened two co-workers with a handgun on Pioneer Parkway East. The co-workers noticed Alford using his phone while driving slowly. When they commented, Alford reportedly brandished a firearm, prompting the victims to flee and alert authorities, Springfield police said. Police later apprehended Alford at his home where he was found with two firearms, despite being legally barred from possessing them.
