Video raises questions about DHS role in Eugene riot damage

EUGENE, Ore. – The Federal Building in downtown Eugene has reopened to the public after being closed for a week following a declared riot in January. Despite reopening, visible damage to the building remains, raising questions about its source.

Independent video journalist Jason Anderson captured footage that seems to show a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agent breaking a window during the riot. KEZI reached out to DHS for comment, but the agency has not responded.

“I didn’t see a breach take place,” said Anderson. “I didn’t see any specific protestors breaking the windows there.”…
