21 cats taken to Greenhill for urgent medical care after Marcola rescue

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Greenhill Humane Society, a life-saving animal welfare organization, is working with Lane County Animal Services (LCAS) to rescue cats from a property after their owner passed away.

The rescue operations began on Friday, February 6th, near Marcola, Oregon. Greenhill’s team and LCAS rescued 21 cats who were transported directly from the property to Greenhill to receive immediate medical care.

“It was clear when we arrived on site that the cats had gone without consistent food, water, or veterinary care for a substantial amount of time,” said Aly Larson, Greenhill’s Communications Coordinator. “Our team’s focus now is to stabilize their health, treat their illnesses, and give them the care and love they need to recover.”…
