EUGENE, Ore. – A 54-year-old Eugene man was arrested following an investigation into an alleged stabbing near downtown Eugene on Sunday evening, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said police responded at 5:18 p.m. on Feb. 9 to a reported stabbing in the area of West 8th Avenue and Lincoln Street. A bystander applied a tourniquet to the arm of the victim, described by police as a man in his 20s, and police took over treatment of the victim with a second tourniquet, authorities said. Police said the victim was then transported by Eugene Springfield Fire medics to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
