BEND, Ore. — An Oregon beverage distributor is closing down its facilities in Bend and Eugene. More than 150 employees are being laid off from Point Blank Distributing, which is being acquired by Columbia Distributing.
The move has left some local businesses in limbo. One of those is Ablis, a local distributor of hemp infused beverages. Co-founder Max Bendis says Ablis relies on Point Blank to get products on store shelves.
“Point blank has a huge portfolio of brands. We’re not the only ones feeling this strain. Certainly, Columbia’s gonna take a lot of them. We’re hoping that everyone finds a home and can stay alive through this whole thing,” Bendis said…
