When Rocky Maselli opened his fast casual pizza restaurant, Osteria DOP, in 2023 it had a lot of counter seating. After three years of business, he’s ready to make some changes to the space.
“Counter seating) is typical of a restaurant like this in Europe, but I think is kind of hard in a town like Eugene. One of our biggest complaints is the seating arrangements,” Maselli said.
Maselli is teaming up with Rory Everitt of Rory Everitt Design to move the counter seating area over by the window and bring in more booths with the space created. A waiting space for customers to drink their cocktails will be added as well as new pony walls that direct customer traffic flow and add more shelving to create storefront space…
