Local Eagle Scout enhances Mount Pisgah accessibility in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. – An Eagle Scout from Troop 100 is enhancing accessibility at Mount Pisgah.

According to the project details, Theo Unruh is constructing a ramp and horse mounting block by the Lane County Sheriff’s Posse Arena. Unruh, a junior at South Eugene High School, aims to make this local treasure accessible to everyone.

“As part of an eagle project, I’m basically the head designer and contractor, and I offered them three separate plans, and we pretty much unanimously agreed on one,” Unruh said. “There’s no mounting block in the area, so it’ll just fill the need and make it more accessible in the process, which is good for everybody.”…
