Eugene police: Public calls for service down about 6,000, but crime still up

EUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Police Department is releasing revised data Thursday about incident reports for 2025, noting that overall calls for service from the public are continuing a downward trend.

Compared to 2024, those went down by around 6,000 calls and the number of officers proactively responding to crimes went up.
