At a time when clinics and hospitals are closing their obstetrics units, leaving women in Oregon to travel farther for medical care, one facility in Springfield has invested in the field.
Eugene-Springfield isn’t immune to these closures. Oregon Medical Group (OMG) closed its OB-GYN department in November 2025, prompting organizations such as McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center and Women’s Care to expand.
