Eugene Police arrest Gold Hill man in undercover online luring sting

EUGENE, Ore. – A Gold Hill resident has been arrested in a sting operation targeting online predators. According to the Eugene Police Department, 25-year-old Kaleb John Francis Altman was apprehended in Medford after he engaged in inappropriate communications with a detective posing as a teenager.

Altman allegedly sent explicit material to the undercover detective, believing her to be a minor. He was charged with luring a minor and online sexual corruption of a child in the second degree.

Detectives from multiple agencies, including the Eugene Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oregon Department of Justice, collaborated to make the arrest.
