In the latest development in the ongoing litigation seeking to assign the blame for the Holiday Farm Fire, U.S. District Court Judge Mustafa Kasubhai ordered the Bonneville Power Administration to pay sanctions to the other parties in the case for not cooperating with the investigation and for destroying evidence.
The ongoing lawsuit, brought by Holiday Farm Fire victims, their insurers and the timber companies operating in the area, argue these groups deserve compensation because the Bonneville Power Administration, Eugene Water and Electric Board and Lane Electric Co-Operative allowed the fire to start and spread through negligence.
