EUGENE, Ore. – The dog park at Armitage Park will close temporarily starting the week of March 9, according to Lane County Parks officials.
County parks staff said that this closure is for construction aimed at enhancing safety and accessibility, funded by the 2022 Lane County Parks Levy. The project includes building a separate RV entrance to prevent large vehicles from passing through the dog park area. Other improvements involve two covered pavilions, ADA-accessible pathways, better lighting, paved parking lots, and improved vehicle circulation.
Construction is expected to take about two months, with the park set to reopen by the end of May. Updates will be available on the Lane County Parks Levy Projects page…
