EUGENE, Ore. — A ‘shelter in place’ notice has been issued for residents near the Friendly neighborhood between 22nd and 27th Ave due to police responding to an armed suicidal person in a tree, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said that others should avoid the area to stay clear of any danger as authorities try and negotiate with the man to come down from the tree.
