LANE COUNTY, Ore. – Lane County residents are being warned about a persistent scam targeting the community. According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, scammers are posing as their employees and attempting to extract money or personal information.
These scammers claim there are warrants, missed jury duty, or legal issues and may even offer to take bail money. They often ask for payment through digital means like cryptocurrency or phone apps.
