In the mood for caffeine? You’re in luck. Two new coffee stands have arrived in Springfield, offering a fresh option for your daily fix. South Valley Coffee opened near downtown Springfield in Off-Kilter Koffee’s former location, and offers creative spins on espresso drinks and monthly specials.
Register-Guard readers might already be familiar with Native Coffee, a local string of stands that have popped up over the past year. Owner Gavin Burkhead opened a third store in fall 2025, slowly expanding his hyper-local empire of high-quality drinks across town.
A new food truck, Gwen’s Homestyle Kitchen, is putting the finishing touches on business as well. The truck soft opened in late February, and owner and operator Chef Distro plans to announce regular hours soon. Distro cooks “the best soul food in Oregon,” and can’t wait to turn the people of Eugene on to his cuisine.
