EUGENE, Ore. – A collision involving a dirt bike and a Subaru WRX occurred on March 8 at Barger Drive and East Irwin Way.
A motorist was cited following a vehicle versus motorcyclist crash in the Bethel area on Sunday morning, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said they responded at 11:10 a.m. on March 8 to a crash between a dirt bike ridden by two 13-year-old boys and a Subaru WRX driven by a 29-year-old man at Barger Drive and East Irwin Way. Eugene Springfield Fire treated the teenagers at the scene. Both were wearing helmets and were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the investigation revealed that the Subaru driver was turning into a parking lot when the dirt bike, speeding eastbound in the westbound bike lane, collided with the car.
