Firefighters quickly contained a late-night blaze that engulfed a shed attached to a row of garages at an apartment complex near Valley River, preventing more serious damage, authorities said.
Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) crews responded at 11:33 p.m. Sunday to reports of a dumpster fire at the Valley River Court Apartments in the 4300 block of Goodpasture Loop. Callers told dispatchers the flames had spread to a nearby structure, prompting the call to be upgraded to a first-alarm response.
