Lane Community College plans program cuts, elimination of 23 positions to save $4M

EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Community College says staffing changes and program cuts are coming and is set to present more details on its budget plan Wednesday night at its Board of Education work session.

The college says it’s planning to cut programs like Health Information Management and Criminal Justice, and they plan to eliminate 22 positions – including operations and support services – and one already-vacant academic position.

LCC says though it’s cutting those roles, it doesn’t necessarily mean people will be losing their jobs…
