EUGENE, Ore. — The late César Chavez, one of the nation’s most prominent civil rights leaders, is being accused of sexual abuse.
Dolores Huerta, who co-founded United Farm Workers of America with Chavez, says the labor leader once manipulated and pressured her into sex and, in a second encounter, forced her to sleep with him against her will.
