EUGENE, Ore. – Last week, Eugene police arrested three people for driving under the influence in separate cases over roughly six hours, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said officers responded to a crash on Tabor Street around 8:15 p.m. March 21. Multiple people called 911 reporting a Toyota Prius stuck in a ditch with a woman screaming inside. When officers arrived, they found the car in a ditch with the driver spinning the tires of the stuck car. Police identified the driver as 30-year-old Eryn Elizabeth Swett of Eugene. An officer suspected Swett was drunk. After investigating, officers arrested her for driving under the influence.
At 2:27 a.m. on March 22, an officer on patrol spotted a Toyota RAV 4 on West Seventh Avenue speed up hard at a green light. The car then made a sudden left lane change without signaling and drifted into the bike lane. At Lincoln Street and West 5th Avenue, the driver didn’t stop at the stop sign. The car then drove the wrong way down West Fifth Avenue for a block. The officer pulled the car over and contacted the driver, 48-year-old Dominick Allen McIntosh of Portland.
