This week offers five opportunities for folks in Eugene and Springfield to connect with their communities and see fabulous local art. The Maude Kerns Art Center is hosting a Jell-O Art Show, bringing the sugary confection to center stage as a muse. The Wildish Theater is hosting the Cascadia Chamber Opera for “Trouble in Tahiti,” and DRUM TAO is taking to the stage at the Hult Center with their new show, “The Best.”

Maude Kerns’s Jell-O Art Show

Some might see Jell-O as a relic of the past. The 2026 Jell-O Art Show, themed Jell-O Jamboree, will bring Jell-O fans back to jiggly days they remember, with a fun, Eugene twist.

The March 28 show will feature all art made of Jell-O, and a performance by the Radar Angels at 7 p.m. Those who want to display their Jell-O art can drop off their creations from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and the show will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Maude Kerns Art Center is located at 1910 E. 15th Ave. in Eugene. A donation of $3 per person or $5 per family is suggested for entry to the show.
