EUGENE, Ore. — Police issued more than 20 citations during a targeted traffic enforcement effort along River Road on Thursday, as officers responded to ongoing complaints about speeding in the area.
The Eugene Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit conducted a saturation patrol for several hours Thursday afternoon, focusing on a stretch of road where the posted speed limit was recently reduced to 35 miles per hour.
