Oregon Association of Rowers hosting 30th Covered Bridge Regatta

What began east of Eugene on Dexter Lake in Lowell, Oregon 30 years ago with only a few buoys and a handful of racing enthusiasts, has today become a premier destination for fixed-lane rowing in the Pacific Northwest.

The 2026 Oregon Association of Rowing (OAR) Masters Covered Bridge Regatta, scheduled for April 25, 2026, will be no exception as we welcome rowing clubs from throughout the Northwest and beyond to test their mettle on our improved 8-lane fully buoyed 1000-meter only racecourse.

Since 1996, hundreds of crews, rowing clubs, fans and volunteers have flocked to Oregonโ€™s scenic Dexter Lake each Spring to watch or participate in one of the Westโ€™s most popular regattas and showcasing one of the most rapidly growing sports for adults in America. With hundreds of races competing on the updated racecourse, the racing is fast and there are multiple options for great viewing. According to Regatta Director Christine Shirley, โ€œwe are excited about our new format for 2026 because it will create greater rowing options for participants and better viewing for spectators.โ€…
