ER doctors raise patient care concerns amid PeaceHealth, ApolloMD lawsuit

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Local emergency physicians are raising concerns about how a transition to new emergency room staffing could affect patient care at local hospitals.

Eugene Emergency Physicians filed a lawsuit against PeaceHealth and ApolloMD, claiming the partnership violates state corporate medical laws. Dr. Jonas Pologe, who has worked with the physician-owned group since 2021, said his main worry is how replacing ER doctors could impact patients.

“I’m most concerned about my parents who live here and my friends who live here that depend on these emergency departments,” Pologe said. “I am concerned that they won’t get the same quality that they used to get.”…
